• ScotsGay Magazine. Home of the most comprehensive and up-to-date lgbt listings for Scotland, and the most excellent Nunsense column.
• Equality Network. Aims to help facilitate and catalyse lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender campaigning and networking in Scotland. It is volunteer-run and entirely unfunded, relying on the generosity of donors to continue its work.
• Outright Scotland. "Scotland's democratic lesbian, gay, bisexual & transgender rights organisation - fighting for equality and liberation since 1969."
• LAGRAD (Edinburgh). The Edinburgh group of the Lesbian and Gay Real Ale Drinkers, CAMRA's Task Group for LGBT real ale and cider fans.
• Pride Scotia. Scotland's national LGBT festival. Spot the Nuns in the masthead.
• Stonewall. Relative newcomers north of the border!

HIV/AIDS, Safer Sex and Sexual Health.

National Organisations

• Healthy Gay Scotland. A Scotland wide HIV health promotion initiative that devises and delivers a national programme of work which aims at preventing the spread of HIV among gay and bisexual men. Offers a free "Condoms by Post" scheme via the website.
• HIV-AIDS Carers & Family Support Group. Provides support and services to carers, families, partners and friends who have a loved one with HIV or AIDS.
• HIV Scotland. An HIV voluntary sector policy and support organisation, providing HIV information and advice. As the leading HIV policy organisation, HIV Scotland gives the views and expertise of voluntary organisations the authority of an independent and collective voice.
• Playing Safely. The NHS guide to the symptoms, treatment and prevention of Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI) and Diseases (STD) including Chlamydia Genital warts, Herpes, Syphilis and Gonorrhoea. Don't play the sex lottery. Use a condom.

Edinburgh and South East Scotland

• Gay Men's Health. Edinburgh organisation looking after the holistic health of men who have sex with men.
• LGBT Centre for Health and Wellbeing. Working in partnership with the LGBT community and health service providers to improve the physical, mental and social wellbeing of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people in south-east Scotland. Web site requires Flash, rendering it inaccessible to people with certain disabilities.
• Positive Voice. HIV self-help organisation in Lothian - people living with and people directly affected by HIV supporting one another.
• ROAM Outreach. ROAM provides a confidential service for men who have sex with men and male sex workers throughout Edinburgh and Lothian. Our work is carried out in a variety of settings including chat rooms, cruising areas, drop in, saunas, clients' homes and our outreach bus.
• Waverley Care Trust. Registered charity which provides a number of services including Solas, a centre in Edinburgh offering support services, information and an informal meeting place for people living with HIV and AIDS. Site includes useful list of HIV/AIDS links.

Glasgow and South West Scotland

• Body Positive Strathclyde. Self help organisation which provides support to HIV positive people, their partners, families and friends in the West of Scotland
• Glasgow Brownlee AIDS Welfare Trust. Raises funds for people with HIV/AIDS in the Greater Glasgow area.
• Phace Scotland. HIV prevention and support support services in Lanarkshire, Ayrshire and Arran, Argyll and Clyde and Greater Glasgow including Buddying and the Crusaid Hardship Fund in Scotland. Also provides a range of health promotion services for Gay and Bisexual men throughout the West of Scotland and Grampian.
• Sandyford Initiative. Glasgow's main sexual health centre. Free web access and health library with large LGBT lending collection. Specialist services for gay men and lesbians.
• Steve Retson Project. Part of the Sandyford Initiative. Sexual health service for gay men in Glasgow.

Dundee, Tayside and Fife

• Body Positive Tayside. Services provided by and for HIV postive people, and those affected by HIV in Tayside.
• Fife Men. Non profit-making organisation whose aim is to promote the health and well being of men who have sex with men.
• Gay Men's Health Tayside. Promotes the sexual health of gay and bisexual men living in Angus, Dundee and Perth & Kinross.

Aberdeen and Grampian

• Grampian Buddy Group. Befriending and support service for people living with HIV/AIDS.
• Phace Scotland. HIV prevention and support support services in Lanarkshire, Ayrshire and Arran, Argyll and Clyde and Greater Glasgow including Buddying and the Crusaid Hardship Fund in Scotland.
